Download My KitAn endowed gift to the University of Dallas today provides a brighter picture for our future. When you establish an endowment, you give a gift with both immediate and long-term benefits.
Endowment donations are invested, and then a portion of the investment's annual income is used to address immediate needs at UD. The remaining funds are reinvested to ensure indefinite support. At UD, Endowed Scholarships and Endowed Faculty Excellence Funds provide tremendous, perpetual support for our faculty and students.
Eileen McPherson Meinert, BA ’83, had always planned to make a significant gift to UD. After telling her husband, David, of her gratitude for UD legend, Sybil Novinski, and her role in bringing Eileen to the university, David suggested that she name a scholarship after Sybil.
The Meinerts committed $50,000 the university to begin the Sybil Novinski Scholarship Fund. The endowed fund is invested and the income each year will form a student scholarship in perpetuum. Endowments are also open to gifts from other donors, and this scholarship has already doubled in size, thanks to generosity of many UD alumni.
